Noel C. Thomas, M.A.

Noel C. Thomas holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from the Sage Colleges.  Her background is in the area of forensic mental health.  Currently, Noel is the Strict and Intensive Supervision and Treatment Coordinator for the New York State Office of Mental Health, Bureau of Sex Offender Evaluation and Treatment.  For the past several years, her focus has been working with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (The National GAINS Center), the Capital District Coalition for Sex Offender Management, the Catskill Region Coalition for Sex Offender Management, the Bureau of Justice Assistance Office of Justice Programs and the Center for Sex Offender Management writing and coordinating mental health and sex offender management projects to enhance community safety and advocating for public policy change. For many years she has worked for the Rensselaer County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, maltreatment and providing intensive case management services to families and foster families, many of whom have been victims of sexual abuse.
