Noel C. Thomas, M.A.

Noel C. Thomas holds a Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and a Masters degree in Forensic Psychology from the Sage Colleges. Her background is in the area of criminal justice and forensic mental health. Currently, Noel is the Strict and Intensive Supervision and Treatment Coordinator for the New York State Office of Mental Health, Bureau of Sex Offender Evaluation and Treatment. Before coming to the Office of Mental Health, Noel worked with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Capital District Coalition for Sex Offender Management, the Bureau of Justice Assistance, Office of Justice Programs, and the Center for Sex Offender Management writing and coordinating mental health and sex offender management grants that enhance community safety and advocate for public policy change. Additionally, Noel has worked for the Rensselaer County Department of Social Services, Child Protective Services investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, and maltreatment, conducting assessments, and providing intensive case management services to families and foster families, many of whom have been victims of sexual abuse. Noel currently serves as President-Elect for the New York State Chapter of the Association for the Treatment of Sexual Abusers.
