Naomi J. Freeman

Naomi J. Freeman received a Ph.D. in criminal justice from the University at Albany and a M.A. in forensic psychology from Castleton State College. Her principal research interests include the effectiveness of registration and community notification laws, sex offender risk factors, and female sex offenders. Her publications have appeared in numerous journals including Criminal Justice and Behavior and Sexual Abuse: A Journal of Research and Treatment. She currently serves as the Director of the Bureau of Sex Offender Evaluation and Treatment for the New York State Office of Mental Health, Division of Forensic Services.
