Dominic Dispenza, LCSWR

Dominic Dispenza, LCSWR, is currently in private practice in Amherst, NY and completes juvenile and adult offender evaluations and risk assessments for the Courts, Probation, Parole, DSS and other agencies.  He is also employed at the Western New Children's Psychiatric Center. He has worked with adult forensic patients since 1986 with juvenile sexual offenders since 1987.  He has been trained by the U.S. Justice Department and other national experts.  He has assisted in the development of community based and residential sex offender programs for juveniles, adults and special populations and has provided consultation services and expert testimony throughout NY State. Mr. Dispenza has provided education and training to a variety of agencies including developmental disabilities service agencies, DSS, Probation, Parole, Mental Health agencies, judges, and others and at statewide and regional training conferences. He also served as a statewide consultant for the NY State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities. Mr. Dispenza is on the Board of Directors for the State chapter of ATSA and is the editor of the Alliance, the newsletter of NYSATSA and NY State Alliance of Sex Offender Service Providers.  He has co-authored articles in peer reviewed journals and submitted numerous articles for the Alliance Newsletter. Mr. Dispenza is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was Certified as an Addictions Specialist by the American Academy of Healthcare providers in 1996.
